Whitney Gragg
Whitney is a small business owner of a company she started four years ago in Parker to fulfill her passion for making people happy and spreading smiles all over Douglas County. She and her husband have two children attending North Star Academy where she has served on various committees including the Auction Committee and Student Academic Advisory Committee. She is also active in the local community volunteering for organizations such as Miles for Melanoma and Boy Scouts of America. IN her free time Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, attending sporting events, traveling and cooking.

Kendra Hossfeld
Kendra is a lifelong learner with a background in curriculum and design, differentiated instruction, school management and educational leadership. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology and completed a master’s degree in special education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction from the University of Colorado. As a co-founder of North Star Academy, Kendra has served as the school’s Curriculum Director, Dean of Middle School and Assistant Principal before becoming the school’s Principal in 2014. She spends her free time exploring the outdoors with her husband and two boys.
Angela Swanson
Angela received her degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Denver and is a CPA and a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP. She provides financial statement audit services to public and private clients in Colorado. Angela also serves on the board of JA Engage, the young professional group for Junior Achievement – Rocky Mountain. In addition, she is active as a parent volunteer at North Star Academy serving on the auction committee and the school’s Foundation board. Angela and her husband have two boys, one of whom both attend NSA and she enjoys reading, baking and spending time outdoors in her free time.
Heidi Thompson
Heidi grew up in the Parker area and obtained her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Metro State University and holds an active CPA license. She worked in both the public and private accounting fields, including holding executive positions as both an Auditor and a Controller and is currently North Star Academy’s Chief Financial Officer. Heidi has served in many areas at the school including as a classroom volunteer, room parent, finance committee member, Fun Run coordinator, Battle of the Books coach, AVC for special events and as a member of NSA’s Board of Directors. Heidi and her husband have three sons and she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, watching movies and traveling in her free time.
