Board Election

The NSA board of directors will be holding the 2023 election to fill two seats this year. If you are interested in becoming a board member, please complete the attached form and email to [email protected].


The Nomination Period will be from January 23rd through February 28th. Parents and staff are encouraged to attend the “Meet the Candidate” event on Wednesday, March 1st at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. for staff. We also encourage the candidates to attend the March 10th Board Meeting at the NSA Library at 7:30 a.m.


The online election will be held starting Friday, March 3rd and ending Sunday, March 12th at midnight. Electronic results will be announced via electronic messaging and posted on the NSA website by March 13th. Regardless of the number of candidates, the community of North Star Academy must reach a minimum quorum of 25% for election results to be valid. Each parent or legal guardian and staff members may vote.


Election Timeline

January 23rd - February 28th: Nomination Period, Nomination Forms Accepted

March 1st - Staff Meet the Candidates at 3:30 p.m.

March 3rd - March 12th: Voting Window

March 10th - Board Meeting at 7:30am in Library

March 13th - Elected Board Member Announced

April - Elected Board Members Seated at Board Meeting
