Directors

The NSA Board of Directors provides strategic leadership to the school, operating as a policy maker and delegating the day-to-day management of the school to the NSA Principal. The board is comprised of five individuals who share a common vision for the school.

		Matthew Zeeb President, Term Expires: 2029 [email protected] Matthew is a Colorado native who has lived in Parker since 2008. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Forensic Examiner (CFE), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). Matthew is currently the owner of BE EZ Consulting, LLC where he works as a fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for small businesses who are looking for scalable growth. Matthew and his wife, Vicki, have two children, Eiley and Dean, who both attend North Star Academy. Their family enjoys exploring the state of Colorado and camping with their three dogs.

		Katie Samuels Vice President, Term Expires: 2027 [email protected] Katie grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and moved to Parker in 2009. She attended the University of Wyoming and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Speech Communications with an emphasis on Psychology. Kaite has experience working in advertising sales and has served in various coaching and ministry roles. Currently, Katie dedicates her time to raising her children as a stay-at-home mom and hosting a podcast where she shares her faith and encourages growth in others. Katie and her husband, Mason, have four daughters, Tyla, Drey, Jada, and Tavie, who all attend North Star Academy. Katie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, themed parties, UFC, standup comedy, studying the Bible, and traveling

		Angela Swanson Treasurer, Term Expires: 2028 [email protected] Angela graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with her degree in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Managing Director with Ernst & Young LLP. In this role, Angela provides financial statement audit services to public and private clients in Colorado. Angela previously served on the board of JA Engage, the young professional group for Junior Achievement – Rocky Mountain. Angela and her husband, Andrew, have two sons, Eli and Logan, who attend North Star Academy. Angela enjoys reading, baking, and spending time outdoors with her family.

		Betsy Reid Communications, Term Expires: 2028 [email protected] Betsy grew up in Portland, Oregon and moved to Colorado in 2015. She graduated from Arizona State University where she played basketball. Betsy graduated with a degree in Communications. After college she began her corporate journey (predominantly with ADP and UKG) in outside sales and executive relationship management living in Seattle, New York City, and Phoenix before settling down in Parker, Colorado. After 19 years in Corporate America, Betsy decided to make a career change and now owns a charcuterie (catering) business; B Boards by Bets! Betsy and her husband, Rob, have two girls, McKenzie and Allie, who both attend North Star Academy. Betsy enjoys spending time with her family and golden retriever, Divot. She also enjoys driving to/from sporting events and making memories along the way.
		Kaci Jones Secretary, Term Expires: 2029 [email protected] Kaci grew up in West Virginia and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Master’s degree in Business Administration. She then attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a focus on criminal law. Kaci commissioned in the United States Air Force in December 2014 where she served on active duty for nearly five years. Kaci currently is a Major in the United States Air Force Reserve where she serves as a judge advocate (JAG). She is a licensed attorney, certified mediator, and licensed substitute teacher in the state of Colorado. She is also a youth leader at her church and active volunteer at Colorado Puppy Rescue. Kaci and her husband, Chris, have three children, Parker, Andrew, and Elliot who all attend North Star Academy. They enjoy skiing and traveling when the kids’ sports schedules allow. They also enjoy hosting rescue puppies when their resident dog, Owen, allows.
